Here’s The Stunning Gameplay Of Horizon Forbidden West On PS5

At last night’s State of Play, we got to see the first proper gameplay for the sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, and it was stunning!

In the State of Play dedicated to Horizon Forbidden West, we got to see Aloy in the futuristic ruins of San Francisco as she battles with a new rebel faction who, like Aloy, can now take control of the mechanic beasts.

In the trailer, we see more of the elephant-like creature called the Tremortusk, which eventually does battle with Aloy, as well as a new creature that resembles a raptor named a Clawstrider.  We also saw more of the strange red light that is killing life and spreading across the lands.

Aloy also got to show off some of her new toys such as an improved Focus which highlights even more areas and objects of interest.  We also saw that Aloy has a grappling hook called the Pullcaster, and a glider device called the Shieldwing reminiscent of the Caped Crusader.

Some of her weapons shown in the gameplay reveal also included a power surge tool that knocks back enemies, adhesive grenades, smoke bombs, exploding spikes, and more.

The gameplay was also running in real-time on the PlayStation 5 and I was in awe!  You can enjoy the new gameplay footage below.

 

Sadly, however, developers Guerrilla Games did not reveal a release date, which makes me think that It might not be released this year.  Of course, I could be wrong, but I have a suspicion that it might release early 2022.
