Horizon 2: Forbidden West Announced and Here’s the Gorgeous Trailer!

As many of us had hoped, Horizon Zero Dawn 2 was announced at the PlayStation 5 reveal event.  Naturally the sequel takes place after the events of the first game and its expansion Frozen Wilds.  However, in this new world that has dawned, new life is thriving, wildlife that only existed in the old world.  Of course the machines are still running rampant, and we got to see some new machine types, included an elephant typed that resembled the Oliphaunts aka Mûmakil from The Lord of the Rings, and another that looks a little like Grotle from Pokemon.

You can enjoy the epic announcement trailer below.  No release date was given for Horizon II: Forbidden West, but it will release for PlayStation 5, likely next year with a bit of luck.
