A new trailer has dropped for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. This particularly violent trailer gives us a glimpse at the title’s plot, characters and combat system. There was also some information about the Final Fantasy XV playable demo that is available to those who pre-order Final Fantasy Type-O HD.

It looks like the demo will allow you to explore some parts of the world as well as encountering some familiar enemies from the Final Fantasy universe. It seems you will get to play with the entire party featured in previous trailers, however very little combat was shown. The demo’s focus may be on world building exploration such as the impressive looking day/night cycle, rather than taking part in a large number of battles.

The trailer itself confirms that the Episode Duscae demo will be playable on release day, this being March 19th in Japan. Release of the demo was also confirmed by game director, Hajime Tabata, during a talk show at the Taipei Game Show in Taiwan.

It is unclear whether the Final Fantasy XV demo will be available immediately when it launches in other territories besides Japan, but it will include a downloadable voucher for the demo, whilst in the Japanese release it is simply included on the disc. We will keep you updated as more becomes clear.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will release in North America on March 17th, in Japan on the 19th and Europe on the 20th.
