In a surprise announcement, the critically acclaimed S.T.A.L.K.E.R trilogy is out now on PlayStation and Xbox.

Revealed during the Xbox Partner Preview this week, S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Legends of the Zone includes Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat. Each of the three titles was originally released in 2007, 2008 and 2009 respectively for PC, so expect the visuals to be dated but hopefully, they all still play well.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Legends of the Zone which has now been released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S backwards compatibility) has a bundle RRP of £35.99/$39.99 or £15.99/$19.99 individually. If you enjoy the Metro titles from 4A Games, you might enjoy the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series too, as it’s a clear inspiration.

The release of this trilogy is perfect timing for the proper numbered sequel, S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Heart of Chernobyl which is currently scheduled to be released on PC and Xbox Series X/S on 5 September 2024. That’s assuming it suffers no further delays. It will also launch day one on Xbox Game Pass.
