Thanks to an exclusive from Deadline it has been announced that Donal Logue who plays detective Harvey Bullock in Batman spin-off series Gotham will play the Chief of Police, Brian Irons in the Resident Evil movie reboot.

Donal Logue now joins the cast of Kaya Scodelario (Claire Redfield), Robbie Amell (Chris Redfield), Hannah John-Kamen (Jill Valentine), Tom Hopper (Albert Wesker), Aven Jogia (Leon S. Kennedy) and Neal McDonough (William Birkin).

The Resident Evil movie reboot will be produced by Constantin Film with Johannes Roberts directing and writing the production.  The movie is also said to be very faithful to the original source material which should please fans.

On-set videos and images have also been brought to our attention by Resident Evil fan page Biohazard Declassified revealing a very faithful set including the 18-wheeler truck featured in the opening cinematic of Resident Evil 2.

Fans will also be pleased to know that it seems Lisa Trevor might also be playing a part in the reboot.  Lisa Trevor is a character that was first introduced in the original Resident Evil remake from 2002.  Lisa was abducted by Umbrella and was the victim of cruel experiments which mutated her into a horrific monster.

In the instagram post below which reveals the process of a head-cast, you should be able to notice a hashtag that reads Lisa Trevor’s name.
