Amazon Prime Video has released the first batch of images for its upcoming live-action adaptation of Bethesda’s RPG, Fallout.

While we’re still waiting for a full trailer, at least judging by the screenshots released by Amazon, it does not disappoint. That being said, we’ve all been here before excited for a video game adaptation only to be sorely disappointed come release. So I’ll remain cautiously optimistic.

Jonathon Nolan and Lisa Joy of HBO’s Westworld will be the showrunners with Bethesda chief Todd Howard as executive producer. The Fallout series will be set between Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 serving as official canon lore. One of the main characters is Lucy, who is a vault dweller forced to embark on a mission in the post-apocalyptic wastelands. I must admit, the Brotherhood of Steel looks quite badass in the officially released images.

Fallout will premiere on Prime Video on 12 April 2024 and will consist of eight episodes for its first season.
