Sony Pictures has announced that the Resident Evil movie reboot has now wrapped-up production which means that it should all be set to release later this year.

The reboot will be directed by Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down, The Strangers: Prey at Night) and according to Constantin Film website, the Resident Evil movie has a tentative release date of September 9th.

Sony Pictures announced that the movie had finished production via Twitter.  “That’s a wrap in Raccoon City.” said the tweet.

The cast of the Resident Evil movie reboot includes Kaya Scodelario (Claire Redfield), Robbie Amell (Chris Redfield), Hannah John-Kamen (Jill Valentine), Tom Hopper (Albert Wesker), Aven Jogia (Leon S. Kennedy), Neal McDonough (William Birkin) and Donal Logue (Chief Brian Irons).

Judging by the images shared across social media from the Resident Evil production set, the movie is looking quite promising (hopefully I’ve not tempted fate).  You can check out some of the images below.
