Last week the live-action Resident Evil series launched on Netflix, and it’s not being received well by fans.

At the time of writing, according to Rotten Tomatoes, Resident Evil has a critic score of 50% and an audience score of just 25%. Furthermore, on IMDB, it currently scores just 3.6 out of 10. Yikes.

In comparison to Netflix’s other Resident Evil series, the CGI animated Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness has a critic score of 50% and an audience score of 39% on Rotten Tomatoes. On IMDB, it scores a 5.7 out of 10.

After bingeing the new Resident Evil series over the weekend, I wasn’t all that impressed. Sure, it featured some good CGI monsters from the series, and Lance Reddick does the best he can with the material provided portraying Albert Wesker. However, monsters aside, I didn’t really feel much like an RE product.

In my humble opinion, this was an average, but somewhat watchable zombie series with the Resident Evil IP slapped onto it. But that’s just my opinion. What are your thoughts on the new Resident Evil series from Netflix? Let us know across our social media channels.
