Alien: Isolation Passes 1 Million Sale Units Since Launch
Sega has announced that Alien: Isolation has surpassed one million sale units since it released three months ago on October 7th. This is fantastic news for new IP’s, which shows faith that not only sequels can prove a success. Though I suspect that following this success, we might just might see a sequel to Alien: Isolation.
The creative lead at The Creative Assembly; Alistair Hope expressed his delight:
The Alien: Isolation Twitter account rightfully spread word of their news.
It’s a great day. A huge thank you to all who helped us reach this fantastic number! http://t.co/MNVC2qgjwR pic.twitter.com/HSlUwv1sPM

Michael Doyle, the vice president of interactive games at Twentieth Century Fox stated that
“The project represents a paradigm shift in what is possible in the arena of licensed games.”
Though criminally as great as what Alien: Isolation is (which is reflected in our review with a score of 9.0), it has still sold slightly slower than the abomination that is Alien: Colonial Marines, which sold 1.3 million copies between February 12th to March 31st during 2013. It just goes to show how far false advertising and misleading trailers can get you.
If you’re looking for a great horror title that genuinely scares the pants off you, then you won’t do much better than the awesome Alien: Isolation.
