Alone in the Dark remake set for release this August

Finally, the Alone in the Dark remake is set for release this coming August.

The original game was released way back in 1992 and is inspired to inspire the likes of Resident Evil. Announced back in August 2022, it’s been a long time coming waiting for news as to when the Alone in the Dark remake will arrive. Alas, the wait for its arrival is nearly over.

The release date was announced with the reveal of a playable prologue demo now available on the digital PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S storefronts. However, the demo is very underwhelming and doesn’t paint the remake in the best light. 

That being said, THQ Nordic has released a 10-minute gameplay preview and it does appear to do this remake justice. I’ll include both the preview as well as my playthrough of the prologue below.

What’s more, Alone in the Dark will feature two playable leads David Harbour (Stranger Things, Black Widow) and Jodie Comer (Killing Eve, Free Guy), who not only lend their acting talents but their likenesses too.

Alone in the Dark will be released on 25 October 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
