One of the development studios for Call of Duty: Warzone has confirmed that a next-gen native version is on the way.

At the moment while you can play Call of Duty: Warzone via backward compatibility for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, you are essentially playing a last-gen version.

However, in a press briefing attended by Charlie Intel, Raven Software creative director Amos Hodge has confirmed that a “dedicated technology team” is working on a native next-gen version of Call of Duty: Warzone.

No release date was confirmed, Hodge did confirm 120HZ support and faster loading times.

While it will be great playing Warzone natively on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, it will mean that you’ll have to store the game on the SSD.  Which if you already play Black Ops Cold War, so goodbye to your storage space!
