DiRT 5 Has Been Delayed Again, Looks Likely to Release with Next-Gen Consoles

Codemasters has announced that DiRT 5 has suffered another delay.  DiRT 5 has already suffered delays with the previous date set for October 16th, but this latest one looks to push it back so that it might release simultaneously with the next-gen versions of the game.

The delay doesn’t come up with the usual “extra polish” reasoning, but instead it is so that DiRT 5 will have a “revised launch date will allow Codemasters to release all versions of the game in a shorter timeframe, with the next generation of console launches expected for the holiday season.

The next release date for DiRT 5 is now Friday, November 6th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.  So while we don’t have a next-gen release date, it is expected that the PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles will release around that time and this now means that if you purchase the current-gen version of DiRT 5, you won’t have to wait quite as long to acquire your free next-gen upgrade.  Additionally, as it stands, the Google Stadia version of DiRT 5 is still said to release early 2021.
