The developers of Dying Light 2 have promised that the post-apocalyptic zombie sequel will be sorted for at least five years of post-launch content.

Techland announced the news on the official Dying Light social media channels. Last week, the final episode of Dying 2 Know aired. In the last episode, we got to see cross-gen gameplay comparisons, co-op gameplay and more.

However, the post-launch content wasn’t addressed. However, it was the topic of discussion in the following tweet. “Want to know what will happen AFTER the premiere?” said Techland. “We guarantee to expand the world of Dying Light 2 Stay Human for at least 5 years post-launch with new stories, locations, in-game events and all the fun stuff you love!

To be fair, it should come as no surprise that Techland has promised to support Dying Light 2 for at least five years. Ever since the original Dying Light was released in 2015, the developers have constantly supported the game with a wealth of content. Much of the content was free, as well as the paid expansion “The Following.

Hopefully, with Dying Light 2, we’ll not only get plenty of quality free content, but I’d also love to see meaty paid expansions too. Either way, it’s awesome that Techland will be supporting the sequel as much as the original.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human will release for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on February 4th. A cloud version will also be released for Nintendo Switch in select regions.
