EA Sports signs exclusive deal with LaLiga for football series
EA has announced that it has signed an exclusive deal with LaLiga going forward with future football releases.
The deal which won’t take place until the start of the 2023/24 season means that all of Spain’s LaLiga as well as its other competitions will be exclusive to the EA brand. It will also include LaLiga’s second-tier division.
The deal is said to be “multi-year” and will include all LaLiga competition naming rights, all football teams, stadiums, broadcast authenticity, logos, fonts, graphics and more.
“EA SPORTS FC is committed to delivering the most authentic and immersive experiences in global football. Our innovative new partnership with LaLiga further elevates that ambition and solidifies both organisations’ position at the centre of football culture,” said David Jackson, VP Brand, EA SPORTS FC.
Furthermore, the deal will also begin alongside the rebranding of EA football series. From the 2023/24 season, EAs FIFA series will be known as EA Sports FC.
