Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered Confirmed For PC & iOS, No Console Release

Comments Off on Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered Confirmed For PC & iOS, No Console Release

After weeks of teasing and the leak by Amazon last week, Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered has been officially confirmed, though it might not be for the platforms that you want.  Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered will ONLY be coming to PC, Mac, Linux and iOS at this time.  Obviously while many fans are excited by this announcement (and rightly so, as it’s a classic), many more fans are left somewhat agitated by this announcement with it not being announced for the console formats too.

I myself am a big fan of the game and during the weeks that Quantic Dreams have been teasing the announcement, I was really hoping that this classic will be coming to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One (as well as the confirmed formats), so naturally many fans are left disappointed.  According to the games FAQ it states “there are currently no plans to release Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered on any home consoles, including Playstation 4 or Xbox One.”.  Despite this, I hope that this will change in the near future, though I won’t hold me brief, just in case, as dying isn’t an option right now.  However there is an Android version in the works, which I suppose that’s a consolation to some.

This remastered version of the game will have the following improvements:

  • Remastered HD graphics
  • New touch-based control scheme for phones/tablets
  • Full controller support across ALL platforms
  • Seamless switching between graphical modes

Will Quantic Dream change their stance on the formats in which this game is released?  Will they release PS4 ports of Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls?  Will they announce an all new game?  As always, when we hear any developments, we’ll update you right away.

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered is available now for PC, Mac, Linux and iOS.
