If you’ve been curious about trying Far Cry 6, but wasn’t sure about parting with your cash, this weekend might be for you.

This weekend on consoles and PC, Far Cry 6 is free to play for all. In fact, you can download Far Cry 6 and get straight into the action. Furthermore, you’ll also be able to take advantage of a decent discount too. Oh, and this weekend there is also a Stranger Things crossover event!

When can I play Far Cry 6 for free?

You can play Far Cry 6 for free right now to Sunday, March 27^th. During this time, you will have access to the full game, including co-op as well as trophies/achievements, and any free DLC.

The free DLC includes:

“Since its worldwide launch on 7^th October 2021, Far Cry 6 has added new Special Operations, free Danny Trejo and Rambo crossover missions, as well as three major downloadable content episodes as part of the Season Pass, including; Vaas: Insanity, Pagan: Control, and Joseph: Collapse.”

What platforms are taking part?”

You will be able to play the free Far Cry 6 trial on PC (via Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store), PSN Store (PS4 and PS5), Xbox (Marketplace) as well as Google Stadia and Amazon Luna.

Will my progress carry over?

Yes, if you decide to purchase the full game once the trial has ended, all your progress will carry over. Additionally, you can also claim a discount on the full game, as well as the season pass.

Ubisoft Store – From now until the end of March, 40% off as part of the Spring Sale.
Xbox – As part of Xbox’s Deal of the Week, from 24^th to 28^th March, 50% off all editions of the game, and 35% off the Season Pass.
PlayStation – As part of PlayStation Store’s Deal of the Week, from 23^rd to 30th March, 50% off the Standard and Gold Editions of Far Cry 6, and 35% off the Season Pass.
Epic Games Store – As part of the Epic Spring Sale, 50% off all editions of the game, and 35% off the Season Pass. The Epic Games Store is also offering 35% off the Vaas: Insanity DLC, and 25% off the Pagan: Control DLC.
