Ubisoft has released the latest free content update for Assassin’s Creed Mirage and it’s a good one adding new modes, rewards and more.

Title update 1.0.7 will bring a new permadeath mode called ‘Full Synchronisation Challenge’ which will test even the mightiest of Assassin’s Creed Mirage players. “When enabled, Basim will desynchronise from the animus if he dies, or if he commits illegal actions (e.g. killing citizens, going outside of authorised map locations),” reads a Ubisoft blog post.

“When Basim desynchronizes from the animus, instead of the usual desynchronised reload screen, a new display appears showing statistics of gameplay time, the total amount of conflicts, cause of the death, number of enemies killed, assassin rank and difficulty chosen to play. There are no second chances – your save file will be permanently deleted, so perfect your skills to keep Basim alive!”

If you manage to beat the ‘Full Synchronisation Challenge’ you will earn rewards across various difficulty settings. You will unlock a Talisman for beating it in easy mode. A Talisman and Rayhan costume for normal mode. Finally, all the rewards for previous difficulties as well as six new dyes when beaten on hard mode.

The update has a few other surprises and of course, it aims to fix reported bugs and make various quality-of-life improvements. The update will download the next time you fire up the game unless it’s been activated while in sleep mode. The update weighs in at between 1.94GB to 5.31GB depending on the platform.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
