Gears of War 6 rumoured to appear at summer Xbox showcase

Gears of the War is one of the biggest franchises that Xbox has to offer and it’s been a minute since its last mainline entry with Gears 5 in 2019.

This rumour is courtesy of video game journalist and industry insider Jeff Grubb who recently appeared on the Kinda Funny xCast. Tom Warren of The Verge also seemingly backed up the claims by Jeff Grubb that Gears 6 could be revealed during a summer Xbox showcase this summer.

“I’ve heard some stuff might be happening with Gears 6 this summer. So, I think that a tease sounds about right to me… that seems like what we can expect,” Grubb claimed. However, it was also suggested that Gears 6 might not be released until the next-gen Xbox console launches.

Of course, we should take all unconfirmed rumours with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. Hopefully, we’ll learn more this summer.
