GTA V to Release on Three Generations and is Coming to Next Gen!

When I saw the footage of GTA V at the PlayStation 5 reveal event, I thought that we might get a tease for GTA VI, however, it ended up being another re-release for GTA V and its coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X and PC, making it a game that will release on three console generations.

Not many details were given away, but this next-gen version has been promised to feature a number of technical and visual improvements, as well as featuring brand new features and content.  Rockstar Games has promised that they will “take full advantage of the console’s power and new hardware, making the game more beautiful and more responsive than ever.”

Rockstar Games has also revealed that a standalone version of GTA Online will release, as well as being bundled with GTA V once more.  The standalone version of GTA Online will be available for free for PS5 owners during its first three months of release, though you’ll still need a PS+ account to play.

As an added bonus, starting from now, PlayStation Plus members who own GTA V on PS4, will be gifted with GTA $1,000,000 deposited into their GTA Online (in-game) Maze Bank announced each month that you play until the launch of the PS5 version.  We also don’t know if owners of the current-gen version will get a free next-gen upgrade like some other games, but I wouldn’t hold your breath.
