Jerry “The King” Lawler and Mauro Ranallo to Call the Action in WWE 2K Battlegrounds

A new gameplay trailer has released for WWE 2K Battlegrounds and in it, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler and NXT’s Mauro Ranallo are revealed to be calling the action at the commentary booth.

Personally, I’m not a fan of Jerry Lawler, but I love the enthusiasm of Mauro Ranallo.  In WWE 2K Battlegrounds, you’ll be able to play as current WWE Superstars and Legends, 70 playable characters at launch with more to follow via DLC at a later date.  Allegiances will be sworn and in this trailer, Lawler represents the old-school and Ranallo the new-school.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds will be a departure from the main-line series, and is an over-the-top, action style brawler.  It will feature a campaign, online and offline modes, and character creation.  It will release for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on September 18th.
