Like a Dragon Gaiden gets its English dub this month
Offering as a spin-off and prequel to the upcoming Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name has proven to be yet another hit for SEGA and RGG Studio.
Traditionally, the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series has been in Japanese dialogue with subtitles. However, Like a Dragon Gaiden will offer a full English dub with the voice of Kazuma Kiryu being provided by anime actor and YouTuber, YongYea.
The English dub for Like a Dragon Gaiden wasn’t available at launch, but RGG has confirmed that it will be arriving this month via a free update. A date hasn’t been announced yet, but I imagine that is only days away.
In my review for GAMINGbible, I said: “Like a Dragon Gaiden is the video game equivalent of a cosy night in, whether you’re punching street thugs in the face or partaking in a spot of karaoke. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name brings us a heavy dose of Kazuma Kiryu with an abundance of joy that will have you grinning from ear to ear”.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is out now for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
