According to a tweet by the Senior Development Director for Mass Effect 4, he has revealed that the game will have some form of online component.  In the tweet seen below, Chris Wynn said “Things are getting real now and I need an excellent Producer to come shape online for the next Mass Effect.”

At this time we do not know what this component will be, whether it is some form of competitive mode or a wave based mode that featured in Mass Effect 3.  For all we could know, the online competent might not even be multiplayer orientated, but rather some form of connection features.  As always, when we know more, we’ll update you right away.

Development for Mass Effect 4 started last year and though no release date has been given, it is likely we’ll see it sometime during 2016.
