A Metal Gear Solid voice actor has teased announcements in the coming weeks. So, should we be excited?
Other than the likes of Silent Hill as well as Castlevania, Konami’s biggest franchise is Metal Gear Solid. Sadly, the last game in the series and importantly, the post-Kojima era was the abomination that was Metal Gear Survive in 2018.
The last proper game in the series was Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain in 2015. So with constant rumours of a Metal Gear Solid remake, it’s fair to say that a new game is overdue. Fans can perhaps take some comfort in the fact that Konami is reviving popular franchises, most recently Silent Hill.
Recently, prominent voice actor Quinton Flynn plugged his Cameo account to fans on Twitter. In case you didn’t know, Flynn was the voice of Raiden in MGS2, MGS4 as well as Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
A fan responding to Flynn’s tweet asked for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance 2. Flynn replied: “Stay tuned for things to be announced in the coming weeks,” with a wink emoji.
Stayed tuned for things to be announced in the coming weeks 😉
Obviously, we should take all rumours and gossip with a pinch of salt. However, it would be very odd for a popular voice actor known for an immensely beloved franchise to post such a tweet with no merit.
So, I’ll be taking the advice of Quinton Flynn and I’ll keep a lookout for any Metal Gear Solid-related announcements. We’ll be watching Mr Flynn 😉
Do you hope that Quinton Flynn is teasing possible announcements and if so, what could those announcements be? Let’s get speculating across our social media channels.
