Monster Boy & The Wizard Of Booze Announced For PS4 And PC
It’s time to get excited as the classic Sega title is heading to PS4 and PC with a brand new title. This announcement has come from the official Monster Boy domain. However it appears that Sega or any of the previous publishers such as Activision and Blizzard are not helping out with the title. Instead, an independent studio known as Game Atelier have picked up the license. Game Atelier recently had a Kickstarter campaign running for Flying Hamster 2, which sadly was pulled, with the title still releasing on PC with all Kickstarter backers to receive a PC copy of the title. The title is currently under development with Game Atelier and will be published by FDG Games.
This could have happened due to acquiring the rights to create a new Monster Boy title, as the developer has even stated that Flying Hamster 2 took some inspiration from the franchise. “Our main inspirations are the Wonder Boy / Monster World“.
Currently, no information has come out whether or not the game is being funded by a studio, or if we will need to back it on Kickstarter. All we currently know is that the title will be releasing on PS4 and PC, thanks to a brilliant video to go along with the announcement (as seen above). We will keep you updated about the title as soon as we hear any more news. Make sure you follow us on Twitter and Facebook to keep updated. Check out the first screenshots below.
