Mortal Kombat 1 Smoke and Rain trailer is as brutal as expected
The release of Mortal Kombat 1 is nearly upon us so WB Games and NetherRealm Studios will be doubling down on pre-launch content.
The latest trailer features a couple of series veterans, Smoke and Rain, as well as cameos from Scorpion, Frost, Cyrax and Sektor, all showcasing their brutal combative skills.
“Smoke, a fellow member of the ancient warrior clan with a mastery of stealth and practical magic. With deep ties to Scorpion and Sub-Zero, Smoke has made the clan’s mission his own and joins his Lin Kuei brethren in defence of Earthrealm,” reads the WB Games press release. “The trailer also provides a first look at Rain, the High Mage of Outworld who has honed his craft of water magic into a fierce weapon and now hopes to learn the realms’ darkest and most powerful sorcery.”
Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on 19 September 2023 for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. What’s more, pre-orders will also bag you Shang Tsung as a playable character as well as access to the games beta in August.
