I’m sure if there’s one thing we can agree on, is that we hate rage quitters. When online gaming, your opponent suddenly leaving a game because they can’t take being hammered is forever annoying.

Over the years developers have found ways to punish rage-quitters by giving them a default loss, but that doesn’t replace the feeling of satisfaction for the victor.

Video game fighting pro, Ryan ‘Ketchup’ Neal shared a clip from a recent stress test for Mortal Kombat 1 featuring a rage quitter that suddenly left at the start of round two. Upon leaving, the match ends suddenly, with the quitter snapping their own neck.

The victor is greeted with a humorous ‘Quitality’. Sure, the Quitality won’t provide the same satisfaction as a proper win from a player that plays fair, but at least it can put a little smile on our faces.

Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on 19 September 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
