Oxenfree sequel available at a generous discount and for free!
The sequel to the brilliant indie darling of 2016, Oxenfree II: Lost Signals is available at a generous discount, but you better act fast.
2016’s Oxenfree is highly regarded as one of the best indie games of all time, and finally, I can see why. Admittedly, I’ve only recently seen what the fuss is about after being recommended the game by friends.
I went into Oxenfree only knowing that it’s a highly respected indie game and a mystery thriller. I believe that lack of knowledge lent to the mystery and intrigue that this enchanting story has to tell. I won’t spoil anything here, but my god, Oxenfree had me totally hooked within the opening 10 minutes and now I can’t stop thinking about it.
So I feel compelled, despite being late to the party, to let everyone know that the sequel which releases later this month is available with a 25% discount for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
If you pre-order Oxenfree II: Lost Signals between now and 11 July 2023, the price on PlayStation 5/4 reduces from £18.99 to £14.24. As for Nintendo Switch, if you pre-order between now and 12 July 2023, the price reduces from £17.99 to £17.99 to £13.49.
Better still, if you subscribe to Netflix, you can claim Oxenfree II: Lost Signals for free! Yes, the sequel is available at no extra cost for active Netflix subscribers. In September 2021, Netflix acquired Oxenfree developer Night School Studio, which is why its subscribers will get this awesome bonus.
What’s more, if you’ve never played the first game, that too is available at no extra cost. All you have to do is boot up the Netflix app on your phone, select games and find Oxenfree. Obviously, the sequel won’t be available until its launch in the next week or so.
Oxenfree II: Lost Signals will be released on 12 July 2023 for PC, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android. At this time, no Xbox release date has been announced.
