PSA: Resident Evil 4 remake spoilers are in the wild

Resident Evil 4 remake spoilers are now running wild all thanks to retailers breaking the release date embargo.

As reported by Push Square, some retailers have broken the release date embargo less than two weeks prior to the official launch of the Resident Evil 4 remake. 

Sure, one could say that RE4 is technically 18 years old with its first release for the Nintendo GameCube in 2005. However, there are going to be plenty of new surprises in this remake. Plus for many, this will be their first experience with RE4.

What’s more, customers that have purchased copies of the game are under no embargo from Capcom. So basically, they can share whatever spoilers they please. The only thing Capcom can do is take down reported spoilers and deal with the retailers that broke the embargo.

If you follow Resident Evil on social media, it may be challenging to avoid spoilers as we build up to the release of the RE4 remake. That being said, we can only be as vigilant as we can.

Resident Evil 4 will release on 24 March 2023 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox Series X|S.
