The Games Workshop company best known for its lead miniatures, table top gaming and massively rich lore have been making a slow and steady transition to the world of video games lately. With numerous games in development by multiple companies and spanning 40,000 years worth of tales, today the excellently named indie developer Fatshark has announced an additional title from the Warhammer world is in progress; the mouthful that is Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide. Vermintide (which I will refer to it going forward to save myself from RSI) is billed as a visceral cooperative first-person melee and shooter set in the oldie-woldie fantasy Warhammer period,  taking place in a time in which those pesky forces of Chaos are creeping closer to Armageddon.

Five heroes appear in the city of Ubersreik each with a different play-style and abilities, all equipped with unique gear and personalities and must fight together to thwart the invading horde of rat-men (or Skaven as the prefer to call themselves).

Details are developing on the games specifics but we do know that Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide is coming to Windows PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 the “second half” of 2015
