Finally, after months of rumours and speculation, Capcom recently announced one of the worst-kept secrets with the ‘Separate Ways’ DLC for the Resident Evil 4 remake.

Of course, ‘Separate Ways’ was part of the original Resident Evil 4 and much like the remake, we expect this updated DLC to have some resemblances to its source material, but there will no doubt be a lot of surprises too and it seems that Albert Wesker might be playing more of a prominent role in this reimagining.

In case you didn’t know, ‘Separate Ways’ is a side-story all about the mysterious Ada Wong and it takes place alongside the events of Leon S. Kennedy in the main game. Alongside the launch of ‘Separate Ways’ is a free update for everyone that owns the game which adds both Ada Wong and Albert Wesker as playable characters in The Mercenaries.

In my review of the Resident Evil 4 remake, I said it’s: “not only a redefined horror, but it’s a remake that has once more asserted itself into the Mount Rushmore of video games. Yet again, Capcom has created one of the best games ever. Kudos Capcom, Kudos.”

‘Separate Ways’ and the free The Mercenaries update are available now for Resident Evil 4 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
