Resident Evil HD Remaster Will Be PS3/PS4 Cross-Buy, But Only If Pre-Ordered

Resident Evil HD Remaster releases in the west digitally on January 20^th for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.  Though if you were to purchase this game on the PlayStation systems, then it will be a cross-buy purchase for the PS3 and PS4, but there is a catch.  Resident Evil HD Remaster will only become a cross-buy title if you pre-order the game on PSN.  I suppose if you want to play this on both PlayStation systems, then it’s a great incentive.  But for me, if I had this on PS4, I’d have very little urge to play it on the PS4.  You will however get an exclusive PS3 theme for pre-ordering.

Resident Evil HD Remaster  will come with 1080p/60fps visuals (720p on last gen systems), 5.1 surround sound, the choice of the original 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio and the choice between the old “tank” controls or the new analogue system, which allows you to walk, sprint and move more freely.
