Resident Evil Village Demo Available Now for PS5, is Timed Exclusive
At the Resident Evil Showcase it was announced that Resident Evil Village will be getting a playable demo and it’s available to download right now.
However at least for the time being, it will be exclusive to PlayStation 5, which is a damn shame.
The demo will be spoiler free as none of its moments will be directly in the game. Sure we’ll see some of the locations and enemies, but we’ll be playing as an alternative character simply known as “The Maiden”.
In the demo we’ll have to escape a dungeon. The demo will not feature combat or blocking, but it does appear to feature enemies, so I suspect there will be hiding involved. Hopefully they’ll be some puzzles too.
The demo won’t remain exclusive to the PS5 as it will become available for the other platforms this Spring.

Resident Evil Village will release for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on May 7th. Those who pick-up the last-gen version will also get a free new-gen upgrade.
