If, like me, you like a bit of old-school survival horror, then look no further than the recently released Alisa.

Don’t be fooled by its PS1-era visuals and audio design, because this is a deliberate artistic choice from indie developer Casper Croes. Everything from its visual and audio design to its choice of tank controls is a homage to the survival horror games of yesteryear.

“Elite Royal Agent Alisa – hot on the heels of a notorious thief in a fantastical world somewhat reminiscent of the 1920s – finds herself suddenly whisked away to an old, bizarre, Victorian-style mansion,” reads the synopsis of the game. “Haunted by the mansion’s strange, mechanised doll-like inhabitants and trapped in a world upside-down, can you survive the dollhouse… and even more so, escape with your humanity intact?”

Alisa has been available on PC since 2020, but now it’s available on consoles too. Alisa has a special launch discount of 15% on all available console platforms for a limited time as well as a free playable demo for you to download and play today.

Alisa is available for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
