The first expansion for the Saints Row reboot is out now as well as a free content update.

The Heist & Hazardous expansion, the first of three expansions for Saints Row, brings three new missions with additional new weapons, a helicopter, cosmetics and more. The expansion is also playable on your lonesome or co-op with a friend.

What’s more, the free Sunshine Sprints update brings a new district, improved combat, a selfie mode and much more. The free content update includes:

  • New playable district of Sunshine Springs
  • Improved combat feel, gameplay flow and balancing
  • Selfie mode
  • 12 new emotes and emote selection wheel
  • New camera angle for vehicles
  • And a huge number of additional fixes and tweaks

The next two expansions, Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus arrive in July with the third and final expansion, said to be the largest of them all, arriving in August. All expansions are available to purchase individually or as a bundle via the Expansion Pass.

In my review of Saints Row, I said: “Far from a perfect game, it’s buggy and has some repetitive side missions. Yet, it’s got a certain charm about it and at times, it’s surprised me how immersed I’ve been in its janky world.

Saints Row is available now for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
