Bethesda has confirmed that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is to receive an upcoming patch to fix reported bugs.

As covered by GameSpot, a new update is on the way for Skyrim Anniversary Edition and Special Edition for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The update is expected to release later this week.

While bugs aren’t uncommon with Bethesda RPGs, more gamers were reporting issues following the launch of the Anniversary Edition. The patch looks to fix issues such as the “black screen bug” which locks players into a black screen when loading a save.

Furthermore, players have also reported crashes, freezes, error messages that asks players to free update storage, even though that’s not actually required. Hopefully, when the new patch arrives, it will fix all the reported bugs, but I wouldn’t hold your breath.
