Squad Is Finally Leaves Early Access After Half a Decade of Development

Squad has been in Early Access for so long that I actually forgot it had yet to come out. In fact, over 2 million people were already actively playing the game, but I guess now they can finally say that they are playing a fully released game.

Squad is a first-person, strategic game with large scale environments based on realistic scenarios and locations, giving players an immersive battlefield experience, unlike most other first-person shooters.

The launch version features a brand-new map set in the city of Fallujah and a new Middle-Eastern Alliance faction. The game now also includes mod support, paying tribute to Offworld’s early days as a team of modders. The game is now available on Steam with an introductory 25% off for a limited time.
