Pretty much ever since Mortal Kombat 9, NetherRealm Studios have been knocking it out the park in terms of guest DLC characters in the series.  From Freddy Kruger, a Xenomorph, Predator, the Terminator, Robocop and much more, they’ve kind of set a high bar of expectations.  Well now, they have just announced that John Rambo will be the latest guest character of Mortal Kombat 11 and not only will he feature the likeness of Sylvester Stallone, but Rambo will also be voiced by the main man himself.

John Rambo will be joined by series veterans Mileena and Rain as new playable characters that are arriving in Kombat Pack 2 for Mortal Kombat 11.  The release of Kombat Pack 2 will coincide with the launch of Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, which not only includes Kombat Pack 2, but also Kombat Pack 1 (featuring Nightwolf, Shang Tsung, Sindel, The Joker, Spawn and the T-800).  MK11 Ultimate also includes the story expansion Aftermath, which also adds Fujin, Sheeva and Robocop to the playable roster.  Not to mention the base game, this brings in total of 37 playable characters and a wealth of bonus character skins.

It has also been announced that those who own Mortal Kombat 11 on PS4 and Xbox One, will get a free next-gen upgrade when Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate releases for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 17th.  The next-gen version of MK11 will have an even more crisp dynamic 4K resolution, improved visuals, performance and load times.  However, that is not all, because MK11 will also be cross-platform and cross-gen for selected modes across PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

Those that pre-order Mortal 11 Ultimate, the Kombat Pack 2 or the Kollector’s Edition will be gifted with the Time Warriors Skin Pack, which includes skin variants for “Dark Web” Noob Saibot, “HCF” (Halt and Catch Fire) Liu Kang and “Blood Moon” Skarlet.

Oh and speaking of the “Kollector’s Edition”, releasing across Europe, much like the initial MK11 Kollector’s Edition which included a Scorpion bust, to coincide with the release of MK11 Ultimate, this will include a bust of Sub Zero, a steelbook, a commemorative magnet coin, an authenticity plate, exclusive DLC and all the content that comes with Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate and Kombat Pack 2 will release on November 17th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
