Steam Update Suggests Cyberpunk 2077 New-Gen Port Will Be Here Soon

An update on the PC platform Steam suggests that the new-gen port of Cyberpunk 2077 will be here very soon.

I won’t go over all the details of the troubled pre and post-launch of Cyberpunk 2077, because if you’re reading this, then the chances are that you’ll already be well aware of the issues.

That being said, fans have been eagerly awaiting the new-gen port of Cyberpunk 2077, a version of the game that was supposed to release in 2021 before it was delayed. We’ve known for a short while that this port will arrive in 2022, but we don’t know exactly when it will be released.

However, an update on Steam suggests that the new-gen port of Cyberpunk 2077 may be close. As reported by Pure Xbox, the PC version of the CDPR title was updated for the first time since October 2021. This sudden update has got fans feeling hopeful that the wait will soon be over.

It’s worth keeping in mind that this is a pre-patch, potentially for the next big update. Furthermore, there are no patch details for PlayStation or Xbox at this time. However, when such updates/patches are released for PC, consoles are usually soon to follow.

For me personally, I’ve been holding out for the new-gen update following the disappointing PS4 version. Yet, I’m more excited for the new-gen port of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Both the new-gen ports of Cyberpunk and The Witcher 3 will be free for owners of the last-gen game.
