Tekken 8 – Reina, final launch character announced
The release of Tekken 8 is nearly upon us and Bandai Namco has announced the final character that will be available at launch and it is Reina.
“The Purple Lightning is using her lightning-quick moves to overwhelm her opponents. She is surrounded by mystery as the only known fact about her is that she is a student at the Mishima Polytechnical School,” reads the press release from Bandai Namco. “She also seems to have a very particular interest in Jin, especially in fighting him.”
This now means that Tekken 8 will feature 32 players at launch in the base game, which is quite impressive. Of course, the likelihood is that additional characters will be announced at a later date as DLC.
Tekken 8 will be released on 26 January 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
