The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s latest patch for the new-gen update is the best it’s ever been.
As reported by Push Square (via Digital Foundry), update 4.02 is now live for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. While we’re yet to see the ‘Ultimate’ version of The Witcher 3, it seems we’re edging ever closer.

In Performance mode, The Witcher 3 looks to pretty much maintain a stable 60fps. However, it does still dip below 30fps when using the Ray-Tracing features. Hopefully, CDPR might compromise with a stable 30fps one day or even 40fps if we’re lucky.
Still, if you’ve been holding out for a better version of The Witcher 3 on new-gen consoles, now might be the perfect time to jump in. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
