This Resident Evil 0 demake is something that I need right now!

Thanks to talented modders and indie developers, demakes are really becoming a thing right now covering a variety of games including Bloodborne, Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us and much more. The latest of which has caught my attention is Resident Evil 0.

Despite starting out as an N64 game, before Capcom cancelled the project due to console limitations, Resident Evil 0 would eventually be released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2002. Some years later it would be ported to more recent consoles including PS4 and Xbox One.

However, this RE0 demake, which is actually a mod of the OG RE2, gives us a glimpse at what the game could have looked like, if it had been released for the original PlayStation. A 40+ minute gameplay video which still uses the original cutscenes and backdrops has been uploaded to the El Rincon del Lobezno YouTube channel, which is one of the modders on the project.

Resident Evil 0 is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo.
