Immortals Fenxy Rising is a fun and colourful mythical action-adventure game that was released in 2020.

Developed by Ubisoft Quebec, the same studio behind the likes of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and South Park: The Fractured But Whole, it was a game that came with a decent amount of pedigree. It kind of looked like what you’d get if you crossed modern-day Assassin’s Creed with The Legend of Zelda.

Furthermore, it fared quite well critically, with Metacritic hovering around the high 70s to low 80s. However, for whatever reason, it seemingly wasn’t a game that was on a lot of gamers’ radars.

Unfortunately, if you had a glimmer of hope that Immortals Fenyx Rising might be getting a sequel, you’re out of luck. As reported by VGC, it’s claimed that Ubisoft has cancelled the sequel to focus on its more important properties. It’s a shame for fans of the first game, but let’s be honest, the sequel probably wouldn’t have been a great seller for Ubisoft.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is out now for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
