Unholy teaser trailer is ungodly and creepy

Unholy, a new and upcoming horror game has received a teaser trailer and it’s all things ungodly and creepy as hell!

Unholy is published by HOOK and Digital Bros and is developed by indie studio, Duality Games. The Unholy teaser trailer was released as part of the recent Tokyo Game Show celebrations. Unholy is described as a “stealth horror, exploration experience”.

According to the press release: “Unholy follows the disappearance of a young child from a run-down, unwelcoming post-soviet town. Using exploration, puzzle solving and innovative combat mechanics, players will traverse between reality and a twisted Unholy world to unveil the terrifying truth.”

Furthermore, Unholy is said to feature two parallel worlds to explore in which the: “grey and cold reality of a brutalist post-soviet Eastern European town and the creepy and twisted world of Unholy, a grotesque society ruled by a relentless priest caste.”

In terms of gameplay, Unholy promises an “innovative combat system”. The press release also describes that combat centres around four emotions, anger, fear, sadness as well as desire. It will be interesting to learn exactly what this seemingly emotion-based combat looks like in the months ahead.
