Until Dawn remaster officially confirmed with trailer
The rumours were indeed true and we are in fact getting a modern remaster of Supermassive Games’ fantastic horror title, Until Dawn.
Rumours have been circulating recently that a remaster of Until Dawn is on the way and now we have the official confirmation via this week’s State of Play digital event. However, rather than being handled by Supermassive Games, the remaster will instead be handled by Ballistic Moon.
This new version of Until Dawn will be rebuilt from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5, so it will be interesting to see whether it will be more of a remaster or remake with new areas, scenes and interactions. Only time will tell. We do know that it will have “new and improved animations” as well as upgraded characters, environments and sound effects, as confirmed via the PlayStation Blog.
No solid release date has been confirmed at the time of writing, but we do know that this fresh version of Until Dawn will be released later this year for PC and PlayStation 5.
