Valari Gaming Pillow Review – a surprising vital accessory
When I first saw the Valari Gaming Pillow appear on my Facebook ads, I instantly thought “Why am I being advertised a pregnancy pillow?” and it just so happens that there’s a good reason, other than having a keen interest in video games.
The Valari Gaming Pillow is inspired by the curvy, u-shaped pregnancy pillow. However, where the Valari Gaming Pillow mostly differs is the material it is made from. The Dacron pillow is a lot more sturdy than a pregnancy pillow and unlike its inspiration, will not sink so easily when a decent amount of pressure is applied.
This gaming pillow will absorb the weight of your arms, offering good pushback, support and balance providing the utmost comfort. Whereas if you used a traditional pregnancy pillow for gaming, your elbows will sink in and it won’t make for a very comfortable gaming experience, especially during extended gaming sessions.
When the pillow is placed around your waist while in a seated position, it will almost perfectly support the natural placement of your elbows. For example, I am writing this review now without the Valari Gaming Pillow as a reminder of what it’s like when I am not using it. Without it, my elbows are in an elevated position with no support underneath which quickly gives me an aching pain.
As added context, I am a disabled gamer that works from home. When I am working on my laptop, sitting on the sofa, it’s not the most ideal position to be in during a typical working day. Ideally, I would have a desk to work from, but my house is too small for that, so the sofa is my only viable option. I’ve been using the Valari Gaming Pillow all week, while working and gaming, and now that I have it, I don’t want to be without it.
I have severe arthritis in my hips, which causes chronic pain daily. However, when using the Valari Gaming Pillow, it not only elevates the laptop position to a more comfortable height, but it also helps me keep a more upright posture, rather than being slightly crouched.
What’s more, I have arthritis in my hands, and it is spreading to my wrists. When using this pillow, it not only supports my elbows, but in turn, it supports my wrist with my arms being supported from my elbows to my hands. As such, it not only helps reduce pain in my hips but also in my wrists and hands. Meaning that my working day is slightly more manageable than it ever was.
