World War Z Gets a Dronemaster Class and is Now Cross-Play Across All Formats

Saber Interactive has announced that multiplayer zombie co-op shooter World War Z is now fully cross-play across all formats.  Previously it was only cross-play for PC and Xbox One, but now it includes PlayStation 4.  This now means that all players that own World War Z can play all the PvE missions and the waved-based Horde Mode Z together.

However, that is not all, because coming with the free cross-play update is a new player class called the Dronemaster, and as you’d suspect, one of the abilities of this class comes with the skill-set of controlling a drone in the zombie filled battlefield.  The drone can not only scan ahead for dangers, but it can also taser and stun zombies, as well as being upgradable with its own upgrade-tree.

Additionally in the free update players will receive a new weapon with the ACW-20, a “low-calibre, semi-automatic grenade launcher” complete with its own upgrade-tree.  Owners of the World War Z Season Pass or Game of the Year Edition will also receive a bonus Signature Weapons Pack,   which includes four unique weapon skins.
