The long-awaited sequel to arcade classic WWF Wrestlefest, RetroMania Wrestling has received its launch trailer ahead of its release later this month.

Back in 1991, I would spend more money than I should ever have done on WWF Wrestlefest.  This arcade classic had two main modes, a Royal Rumble and a Tag Team tournament that would see you fight your way to an epic battle with the Legion of Doom aka The Road Warriors.

So here we are a good 30 years later and RetroMania Wrestling brings all the nostalgia with some wrestlers of yesteryear and some modern additions too.

In terms of gameplay RetroMania Wrestling stays true to the original only with modern moves that you would expect to see from today’s generation of pro grappling.

Developed by Retrosoft, RetroMania Wrestling has four modes, the Story mode, 10 Pounds of Gold mode inspired by wrestling promotion NWA, a Retro Rumble and Versus mode with 50 possible match-type variants.

In total there will be 16 playable wrestlers at launch including the Legion of Doom (Road Warriors), Matt Cordona, Johnny Retro (aka John Morrison from WWE), Colt Cabana, Zack Saber Jr, Tommy Dreamer and more.  Further wrestlers will be added at a later date with post-launch DLC.

RetroMania Wrestling will be released digitally for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on February 26th.  A physical edition from Limited Run Games is also set to release at some point in the near future too.
