Xbox chief reveals Starfield had 1 million players at launch

It’s fair to say that Starfield is one of the most highly anticipated RPGs in recent years and it seems that the numbers back up those sentiments.

Following its official launch on 6 September 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X|S, Xbox chief Phil Spencer has revealed that Starfield garnered one million concurrent players at launch across all platforms.

No question, there have been a lot of unit sales for Starfield, but its inclusion on Xbox Game Pass would have certainly lent a helping hand. That being said, after spending 20 hours with the game so far, I can see why so many players have fallen for this intergalactic adventure from Bethesda.

Starfield is out now on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
