Death Stranding 2 would have been rewritten if star turned down role

Hideo Kojima has revealed that Death Stranding 2 would have been rewritten if a star would have turned down her role.

When speaking on the Brain Structure podcast, Kojima stated that if Elle Fanning would have turned down her role in the highly anticipated sequel, the game would have been very different.

“Elle‘s talents and charm to create a character unlike any other,” said the popular developer. Kojima revealed that he also altered parts of the game scripts based on the actress’ movements and “I would have had to throw out the scenes that I had written since she plays a major role.”

At this time, we don’t know what role Elle Fanning will play in Death Stranding 2, however, Kojima said: “I really can’t share much, but she’s a very, very important character. And yes, I created the character with Elle in mind. So I was worried about her saying no to the offer.”

At this time, we don’t have a release date for Death Stranding 2, but we do know that it will be released for PlayStation 5.
