God of War Ragnarok is Sony’s highest-rated PS5 game

To no surprise whatsoever, God of War Ragnarok is currently Sony’s highest-rated PS5 game.

This week finally sees the launch of the highly anticipated follow-up to God of War (2018). Last week the review embargo was lifted and Ragnarok was met with widespread critical acclaim.

However, as reported by Push Square, God of War Ragnarok tops the first-party PS5 Metacritic chart. In 2022, only Elden Ring gets the latest Kratos outing with two extra points.

Elsewhere on OpenCritic, God of War Ragnarok has a “Mighty” rating with a 94 Top Critic Score as well as a 98% of critic recommendations.

In my review of God of War Ragnarok, I scored it a rare 10/10 and said it’s: “an example of sequel excellence and cements its place among the gaming gods of greatness.”
